kool summer!

hey everyone.......its march and heat had already started hitting us.everyone is preparing for summer and i would personally like to share my few style and health tips with u.

first,lets start with clothing!
summer is very good time for shorts (though i'm not very keen on wearing denim shorts in summer),maxi dresses,nice floral skirts,sun dresses,bright colored denims or pants whatever,tank tops,tee shirts etc.

accessorize yourself with some chunky jewellery,multiple bracelets,sunglasses,hats,floral headbands,sheer scarves, funky colored bags,ballad flats and flip-flops.....

skincare and makeup-drink lots and lots of water!it will not only keep u hydrated but also keep u from falling ill and help your body to get rid of harmful toxins.eat juicy fruits like watermelon,oranges and even cucumber!
everyone loves tanning but anything in excess is bad.get a light tan which looks much more natural.apply good sun protection lotion and then u are ready for getting a golden glow!


now as far as makeup is concerned,i would advise to keep it light and fresh cuz many people face too oily skin in summer and heavy makeup + messy oily skin=very tacky!! instead of layering makeup on your precious skin,have a good diet and get your skin naturally beautiful.summer has always been bright color for me so lipsticks can be considered in bright pinks,muted pinks,reds,orange,corals...........
nails look lovely in lemon green,orange,pink,blue,purple or just a simple french manicure.

if u wear mascara or eyeliner then get it a waterproof one cuz u never know how much you can sweat or if you go to beach u can still look lovely in water =)
depending on your skin type get a nice moisturizer.oily skinned girls like me get a water based moisturizer. 

hair-summer hairstyles are very classy yet cool!
a sleek pony tail,a messy bun,a side bun,braids,a side braid,side pony tail or just let it fall loose with cute accessories.
protect your hair from sun especially if it is colored. wear hats,wrap your hair with scarves,tie your hair when travelling etc..........

skin care for winter!

winter's here!!
our skin and hair gets more dry during this time of the year.
the KEY,to GET, beautiful SKIN and HAIR is..................................................moisture!!
always try to keep your skin moisturized.
i use oriflame's honey and milk body cream in morning after bath to lock in the moisture.
i have horribly oily skin but still moisturizer IS needed on face too.i use a water base moisturizer.i try not to shower in very hot water even though its freezing cold outside because hot water makes your skin dry.drink lots and lots of water to keep yourself hydrated!! 
stay away from petroleum jelly because its very hard to get absorbed by your skin.instead keep a nice lip-balm handy.
put sunscreen!!!while sleeping put lip-balm and sleep.it does wonders on your lips and when you wake up you'll have soft and supple lips like you always wanted.
now for hair.....avoid using harsh shampoos!! it will make your hair frizzy and brittle.
i personally prefer dove or tresemme shampoos and conditioners. 
oil your hair atleast once a week.stay away from hair dryers,flat irons and curlers.try to air dry your hair.

what to write in a notebook.......

a few years back when i used to buy some nice notebooks or diaries,i would just keep them safe and never wrote a thing in it.
but as i grew up i figured out that there are so many fun things i can do with it.


i personally, don't get enough time everyday to maintain a diary so i don't write everyday! if someday i go to a friends birthday party and i had lot of fun over there then i would come home and write in my notebook and even if i don't i make sure to make an entry in my notebook whenever i get time.
i doodle,i draw,i write poems,i like to put all my pictures and quotes in it,i decorate it and be true to my notebook.i wouldn't want to read fake things when i grow up. 
on the last page of my notebook i had put an envelop to put movie tickets,fun fair coupons etc.i just like to collect memorable things so that after some years or so when i'll see it i'll cherish the memories associated with them.  
i have one book for keeping track about fashion and trends.i write all my make up tricks and looks I've tried and all the tips I've collected from magazines and books.
i used to use a notebook with pretty cover as my planner till last year but this year i decided to keep a proper planner.i never throw away old planners,even now i flip open the pages sometimes and have fun going through it.
i have one notebook for my music notes and all the stuff related to music.
depending on your interests you may write as you want. don't think much just start writing whatever you want even random things coming in your mind at that very moment counts.write your favorite songs,movies,places,your dreams,about your friends,about people you don't like etc.people who write down their ambitions are said to be more successful.be careful with the notebook in which you are writing your feelings you wouldn't want anyone to take advantage of you.

breakfast menu-pancake

ingredients-1 cup flour,1/4 cup sugar,2 teaspoons of baking powder,2 eggs,1 teaspoon of vanilla essence,milk...approx 2 cups

to do-1)shift flour and baking powder once or twice.
2)then add sugar, egg and vanilla essence.
3)mix it and in the end add milk slowly while mixing it till right consistency. 
4)heat the pan and grease it with little butter.
5)pour the required amount of batter on the pan and let it cool till it becomes light golden.
6)enjoy it with honey or chocolate syrup or fruits on the top.


note-1)you may also put little butter in the batter.
        2)you may add smashed banana's in batter to make it as banana pancakes.

recipe-COLD COFFEE

ingredients- 1 cup milk,coffee powder,sugar,vanilla or butterscotch ice-cream, Hershey's chocolate syrup(optional)
to do-1)take some chilled milk and put 1 teaspoon of coffee powder and sugar in it.
         2)shake it well in a shaker and then add half of the ice-cream to it...again shake it well.
         3)if you wish you may add chocolate syrup to it like i do but its up to you.again shake well.
        4)finally add the remaining half of the ice-cream on top and enjoy.


note-1)you may put sugar and coffee powder according to your need.
        2)you can also put cubes of ice instead of taking chilled milk.

these are some essential things every girl must have in her hand bag.......

1)tissues(normal tissues+wet tissues)

2)hand sanitizer-you surely wouldn't get water and soap everywhere.

3)hair tie and hair pins-good option if your hair getting messy .

4)cell phone-for emergencies and also to put on some music if you get bored.

5)some cash-its necessary to keep atleast some cash on your bag but don't carry huge amount especially if you spend lot of money on unnecessary things.

6)hair comb or hair brush-nothing looks more uncool than unmanageable hair...so carry hair comb just in case.

7)a small mirror-u don't have to keep checking yourself but if you are in a function then its good to take a quick look of yourself. 

8)makeup if u wear it(compact, kohl,lip balm or lip stick or lip gloss)

9)sunglasses to protect your eyes and also it adds a glam touch

10)headphones in case if you have to wait for someone or something,u could listen to music from your cell phone or you could simply carry mp3.i prefer cellphone cuz then  wouldn't have to carry an extra thing in your handbag.
note-you can add or subtract stuff according to your needs and preferences.

7)consuming unhealthy cooking oil
8)consuming raw(overly done)foods also add to the burden of liver.

breakfast menu-potato wedges

ingredients-2 medium sized potatoes,oil,salt, mayonnaise,tomato ketchup 

to do-1)peel the potatoes and cut it in to half
          2)keep the flat surface of potato on chopping board and cut it further into 4 or 6          parts 
          3)steam it for 10 to 15 minutes
          4)heat oil in non stick pan and carefully shift the potato to the pan
          5)shallow fry till light golden
          6)sprinkle some salt
          7)take some mayonnaise and mix it with equal or little less amount of tomato                 ketchup and enjoy the wedges with it.

note-1)preferably use diet or eggless mayonnaise  
        2)u can check if potato is perfectly steamed or not by putting knife in it......knife    should go and come out smoothly
        3)u can put the wedges in bread crumbs after frying it.
